Re: movie review forum
I would like this as well. I don't see a ton of movies, but I like discussing the ones that I do see.
O, Gundam, where have you gone? I've seen the original Gundam series (crappy looking animation one, a tad boring), Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz (my favorites), and finally 08th MS Team (short and a bit haywire, but lovely). The rest I haven't really gotten into, as one thing or another about them seem strange to me. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but... Outlaw Star! This and Gundam Wing are tied for my favorite anime series ever. Ninja Scroll is pretty cool movie. Oh, and this one might be a reach, but has anyone else ever seen Blue Sub No. 6? It was terribly short, and certainly not the best, but the philosophy behind it was pretty cool.

Re: movie review forum
^^^^Unfortunately Gundam is pretty much dead in the US well not dead but its reached the level of just about every other anime released here. A small core group of dedicated fans. The toy line has been discontiuned and you know things are bad when gundam SEED gets moved from its nice time slot at 10:30 on Saturdays to 1 AM on Fridays. However it looks like games will still be brought over.
I have Outlaw Star. Whole series on DVD 40 dollars for 13 episodes is sweet. I think anime should go in that direction but with how much it costs to bring it over I doubt it. (Japanese companies charge so much for the licesnes of there show since its just free income for them. I think the only companies that get away with this are Pioneer and Bandai since they both own anime studios.) Most of the anime Bandai brings over to the US is things they own such as Gundam and just about any Sunrise anime which suprises me why Viz has brought over Inuyasha but w/e. I never really got to see all of Blue Sub No.6 i save my judgement on shows until I get them on DVD or in some form of Uncut Dub or sub version. On a side note everyone needs to go to their local Barnes and Nobles now and pick up the Gundam trilogy. Tomino made a novelization of the orginal Gundam series. Same background (for the most part) but the story itself is completely different. For example Amuro was already a member of the EFF. BTW Trooper when will these forums be up I have reviews ready and waiting.

Re: movie review forum
I have Outlaw Star too, but it's out on loan right now. Let a friend borrow it in return for Azumanga Daioh 3 and 4... MONTHS ago. I'll get it back next Thursday hopefully.

Re: movie review forum
For the two people that listen to it here, I can handle every true metal review, and some of the more mallcore side.
Oh and I'm calling Depeche Mode - Violator and Playing the Angel right now too. And AIC - Dirt. |

Re: movie review forum
I would read this forum if it came out... I dont know if I would contribute beyond maybe putting a rating on a movie (ie 1 to 5 stars). If each movie could be rated by us that would be neat
