Re: Occupation?

I am currently a developer in R&D.

My best job ever was one year as a paramedic in a non-profit emergency service. Sadly that doesn't pay the bills well enough.

Lawyers are badass. Uncontested divorce and bankruptcy wheels in the cash. For my future I'm aiming really high. Wanna be a psychiatrist.

Re: Occupation?

I am at work now. I help students get their computer working. I maintain a computer lab fix printer and sit on my ass all day long doing homework and browsing TG forums. It probably is one of the easiest jobs ever. So student and part time "sit on your ass" er.

Double Major in Computer Science and International Business...

well 8 more hours of this and go home.

Re: Occupation?

I write reports for a gigundor telco (well, one line of business of it anyway). I program and do web stuff on the side. My degree is in philosophy. Go figure.

I want to be like Wyzcrak when I grow up.

Re: Occupation?

Software developer. Small company. Big clients. Always lots of work, but that's preferable over not having enough.

Most of our work (these days.. it could change at any time, and exceptions exist today) is web-based, data-driven, and multi-user intranet applications. I was hired to create solutions for my company's clients using Java, but more (of our) clients want .NET work than Java, so today I write solutions in both. I don't work much in the *nix commandline, and I miss that. I do get to author more SQL here than in previous jobs, so that's fun.

Re: Occupation?

I'm a Real Estate Broker here in the Denver, CO area. It's always been my dream job since I was a kid.

There's really nothing else I'd rather do unless I could turn the clock back ten years and go back to the Navy. I was an Electronics Techinician and it was a pretty good time. I'd try to get a more exciting job though where I could blow some stuff up

Re: Occupation?

So, if I lose FTP to the box, too, do you get a sunroof or something? Maybe we could work something out.

Re: Occupation?

After quitting my job of 5 years at a small networking company, I am now an "IT Specialist": (whatever that means) at a company that specializes in environmental remediation and consulting.

I'm also working on a degree in Network Administration.
