Speaking of which, when is Aftermath coming out?

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
Now that's something I'm really looking forward to. I'm about 2/3 of the way through Quake 4 which is more fun for the nostalgia factor than anything. I'm willing to set it aside for Lost Coast and the usual Saturday TG BF2 play. Q4 has some potential in the squad play but there's just not enough of it, and the AI's aren't very bright. They keep wanting to rush out and get killed. I also loved how the bad guys in earlier Id games would fight with each other if you get one to FF another, but they don't seem to do that anymore. I'd rush through the midst of a heterogenous mix of bad guys, wait for the carnage to start, then wait it out in a corner and mop up any survivors. Good times.

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
Fear is a very good game. The best FPS AI I have ever seen. Remeber when you first fought the grunts in HL1 and they grenaded you, ducked behind cover and set up cross fires? Well FEAR takes that to the next level.

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
I can't render any of it, so other than the commentary, it's not all that interesting.

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
I don't know what your talking about Cingular.Maybe your system isn't up to snuff
?The HDR stuff is PREEETTTTYYYY. Especially with everything turned up
. You can really see a difference from the original lighting system, especially when you go from a dark area to a light area. Your "eyes" actually need to take time to adjust too bright light or darkness. The light reflects the sun better and The effect of the sun on the fisherman's skin looked really good. I got that god mode thing too though, doesen't matter because this isn't really about the gameplay, although the commentary has some interesting things about level design. I just want to see all this stuff in a real game so i can't wait for Aftermath, even though i haven't even started the HL2 singleplayer yet
.

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
I just finised it (im guessing about 15 minutes gameplay
) and i was quite impressed with the HDR. The sky outside looked somewhat "overexsposed" but inside the church was exelent. There are some bronze things hangning from the celing that reflect everything... very nice. I had disabled the commentary but ill go play it with that on so i can find the hidden gems in the demo.

Eh... I have everything turned up to their highest settings (AA on 4x), and it's a cool effect, but it's not all that...

Re: HL2: The Lost Coast is OUT
It looks a good deal better than Farcry. It's slightly better than Splinter Cell 3.
