I believe so long as people keep buying the hardware for their PC's the hardware companies will keep on trying to build faster and more impressive hardware. So long as the hardware keeps on improving, we will have game developers who will want to code a game to take advantage of that new hardware. So in short...keep upgrading your computers if you want to keep PC games alive.

Of course WoW needs an expansion. After all, even the Catholic Church eventually came out with the Protestant mod.
