Those are just a few of the samples taken from here

Wayback Machine is a very fun tool to play around with when you are bored.

Nah... I just thought others might want to see the origins of TG.

This is what it looked like when I joined.

I think I first joined back around then too, I can't seem to remember any of the other iterations of the web page shown before that but that one definitely looks familiar. For kicks look at the player stats, some great names there. The FAQ is interesting to read as well...

I'd like to find out the exact date I first joined, I wonder if Apo has that still around. (?)

Apophis the Network Technician. (Sung to the tune of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer)

Apophis the Network technician,
Had a phat ass bandwidth pipe.
And if you ever used it,
You would say "that **** is tight!"

Most of the other players,
Played in nasty pub type games.
They made poor little Apophis,
Hang his gamers head in shame.

Then one foggy drunken eve,
Apo's alter ego came to say.
Apophis with your bandwidth so phat,
Create a place to hang your hat.

Then how the gamers loved him,
As they shouted out with glee.
My N42 app has been accepted,
I have found the perfect place for ME!

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you get what you want. Thank you for a great year!

-= eternal =-
So this was how it started...

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Root: Welcome to TG. Feel free to punctuate your sentences correctly. Monkerz: Its gonna take all my skills to beat those boys off in the future.
