Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

lol. Yeah I'm sure there are ATMs in the area. Again the only difference is getting to BYOB in a cooler, and getting to play on a 7800 machine. The room is directly adjacent to the "main room", you can just bring beer if you want since you can close the door.

Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

I'm in for the 'private' room.
I may prefer to BYOComputer - is that possible there, Beatnik?

As for supplies - Sugar said:

Yeah - you could pick em up yourself, but it would be a chance for you and me to get together.

I was ok with Katz, but given a vote, prefer, like Cingular - closer to Arboretum, so TGIF is kewl.
Zilker park is still A-Ok.

Reminder - maps:

Plus map to CyberJocks.

Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

Ok I'll go ahead and get 1 private room and I don't think we need a hard # for the main room. Yes you can bring your own rig. I just spoke with their guy and he's got an extra 21" monitor so you don't need to worry about that either. I went ahead and reserved a private room, and we can have everyone else right outside that room. I ballparked 6 pm for our arrival time (just after sunset) but we can adjust that as necessary.

I'm on the BBQ groceries.

TGIF sounds cool. Are we still planning on 10 or does anyone want to meet up a little earlier?

EDIT: I've posted a challenge thread in the BF2 General Forum here: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/battlef...tml#post405094

Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

Sugar, do you want to PM everybody and tell them that the initial place we're going to is TGIF at the arboretum? I'm willing to hit there around 9pm or so.

Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

Sorry guys, won't actually be able to make it. This will be the only weekend in a while my dad can help me lay a slab of concrete in my backyard. It needs to be done. Then Sunday it's straight to the aunt's house.

I don't think your humor is being properly appreciated here...

For what its worth.. These guys do a nice job and have really good standards for the equipment there. About a year ago.. When the Texas location was in the works, I spoke with the owners about franchising in Florida. It won't be with me but there should be a CJ's opening in Orlando before long.

Have fun everyone! I sure am going to miss it - we haven't taken delivery of the new company toy yet - another 6-8 months. I've flown into both ADS and DTO many times.. alas a rental for a gaming weekend couldn't get written off too easily..

I want to see PICTURES!

Re: TX LAN Party -- Update/Roster

*giggle* Sorry about the peeps that aren't going to get a chance to come... hopefully this will kick off great and we'll do a bigger thing this summer.

And yes, whoever that was that asked, I PM'd everyone and said that TGIF at the arboretum was cool. I'm not going to be there until around 10pm due to driving in, but I'll call and see where everyone is out and if y'all want to go for drinks or a late-night movie, or whatever else is available.. CyberJocks sounds perfectly fine to me.

Did everyone see the message to bring a bag of chips or a coke or some dessert with you Saturday?

And Strike -- if you're serious about letting me cook at your place, maybe I could bring my food there early Sat. morning and get it ready?? We could get hot together in the kitchen....
