Re: What's your favorite film that isn't too popular?

Have to say I loved The 13th Warrior. Kind of popluar when it came out, but the hype died real quick. I just love the setting and to watch a story based on norse mythology

I've also enjoyed The Crow series... they dipped a couple... but overall I can watch the movies over and over

...shoot I can go on Those are two that came to mind.

I used to love that movie. I got into a Rutger Hauer kick for a while there and started watching a bunch of his other movies. Like Ladyhawke and Blind Fury. The Hitcher was a great movie though.

Serenity, and the TV show it was based on (Firefly) is easily one of my favorite movies of all time, but very few people saw it. Ask any of your friends who have seen Firefly, and they'll tell you it's amazing.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie is freaking hilarious. Lots of people know about the show, but not so many the movie. The movie's basically the same thing but it's one of the funniest ones.

MST3K both the show and the movie were hilarious.

I haven't had a chance to see Serenity but plan to because it does look good. I never got to see Firefly either.

I thought of another movie too.

The 1989 version of the Punisher. Its the most misunderstood movie of all time. Its not the greatest movie but it is good.

Flash Gordon http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/flash_gordon/

This is a GREAT movie for a sunday afternoon. Queen sound track. Max Von Sydnow (sp?) as Ming. A couple of hotties. Perfect.

"Cannibal! The Musical"

First Trey Parker movie, that I know of. Also the best? Depends on how devout a fan you are.

OLD BOY is one of the most disturbing, confusing, and utterly anticlimatic pieces of garbage I've ever watched. The imagery is extremely vivid, I'll give it that. That's ALL I'll give it. Sorry, I know this isn't supposed to be a anti-favorite thread, but I just gotta be confused as to how it became so popular.

Re: What's your favorite film that isn't too popular?

Now that I have some time, I'd like to go back over and just spill it.

This is not in any particular order, mind you, and some of them were/are popular, but are just so good that you gotta see it, if you haven't.

American Psycho
Fargo
The Big Lebowski
Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (This movie, the first Tim Burton movie to make it big, will always hold a place in my heart)
Batman Begins
*The Fog of War (seriously everyone should see this, it should be required)
*Eternal Sunshine of the Unspotted Mind
Office Space
A Clockwork Orange (warning, not for sensitive or close-minded viewers!)
Bowfinger (so underrated)
*The Royal Tenenbaums (I dunno I think every single actor in this movie puts on their best performance ever, TBH)
Alien vs. Predator (laugh all u want, this movie is the best Alien movie since 2 and the best Predator since 1, consequently being uber-badass)
*The Usual Suspects (TOP 10)
Memento
Shawn of the Dead
Election (Matthew Brodderick)

I really don't like making lists like this, because I feel like I'm gonna be kicking myself for leaving out some huge ones. The ones with asterisks next to them are MUST SEE.

-- Hey.. anyone remember a crappy 80s movie called "Condor Man"? I remember I really liked it as a kid, but in restrospect, it's gotta be the SILLIEST movie I've ever seen. Haha, woot, I found a link. Check dis: http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/c/condormn.htm.

Re: What's your favorite film that isn't too popular?

Shawn of the Dead should have an asterisk next to it.

That was by far the coolest zombie movie I've seen in a long time. And it was funny as hell to boot.
