im currently using YAOSCW-W-r7.zip for my A64 rig and boinc 524 sse2, although i think the boinc version might be a tad unstable so might just revert to the MMX version (SSE compiliers are totaly Intel tweaked, and HURT AMD's SSE2)

Re: A SETI reminder
just read the original reply, but my 2 cents is that this has been out for a long long time, my Dad has been running it on his computer for at least 4 years now, its possible that the "newness" has just worn off for most people.

Re: A SETI reminder
I'm setting it up on a Dual-Xeon server that is pretty much idle.. this could be interesting.
- I did this years ago..
edit: Looks like it's having a little trouble.. a lot of 'failed to connect' messages.. but some are successful.Last edited by P8riot; 03-07-2006 at 04:25 PM.

Re: A SETI reminder
oh, the program my Dad runs only turns on when his screensaver runs and his computer sleeps. If you take the screensaver off, the program is inactive.

Re: A SETI reminder
thats a really slow way of doing seti, because the screensaver creates more work for the CPU by having lovely graphics......

Re: A SETI reminder
i think seti was going through some "easy" units..

I wonder if we went through some high numberd units?
