Looking at El Gringo's signature made me want to remind people about its/it's.
Its: possessive [...government should be afraid of its people.]
It's: it is [It's awesome to be a grammar Nazi!] How I do it: read the sentence again with 'it is' in its place if you want to use an apostrophe. If it doesn't make sense, change it.
