What kind of food do you like? Are you going to be there the whole week? We'll need to grab a beer or something while you're in town!

Oh, I just found the greatest website EVER for eating in Dallas: http://dallas.foodinspect.com/bymap/...451&y=32.78429

It should be centered on the Adam's Mark Hotel already!

My vote is for Vegas!

Reasons:

1)No way in hell am I going to Texas in July - think heat, humidity and bugs. OK, Vegas ain't that much cooler in July but minus the bugs and humidity plus they have the world's most powerful air conditoning.

2)No bash on Austin, but they don't have a Spearmint Rhino Gentleman's club. Plus the killer buffet's and after a hard night and day of BF'ing, who isn't hungry?

Thanks cing, sorry Sugar for murking up the thread. As for that beer can't say I am old enough for that yet, and we won't have any wheels that I know of because it will all take place at the hotel. I would say Austin to hold the LAN at if I was able to go, damn college having to start in the summer.

Re: TG Lan '06 -- What I should've done from the start...

Okay, I guess it's settled then. I mean, just look at the numbers. Sorry, Austinites and Houstonians, but we're definitely doing Vegas, July 28-30, so start making plans. I'm talking to some of the hotels on the south end of the strip about room rates. We can only get discounted rates with 10 rooms or more. (The hotel I've been looking into is the Stratosphere. Simply because it's so close to the LAN center.) However, room rates go down to about $40/night on the weekdays, so if some people wanted to extend it to that Thursday or the Monday afterward, PM me and I'll see if we can't get something worked up.

More information coming around the first of next week -- keep checking back.
