Re: Diplomacy - looking for 7 players
Right guys, I now have an internet connection from home, so I can run the game! Thanks for your patience (and good luck to the guys who have started another game).
Ok, so I guess I best re-ask for the 7 players since it has been so long. To recap we will play a 48/24 full press game with no deadline to fall on a weekend.
I highly recommend the use of The Diplomatic Pouch website ( http://www.diplom.org/ ), especially for ideas on openings and general threats in the early stages of a game. No Yorkshire Puddings please
I'll aim to start the game sometime this weekend if I get the replies quick enough! If we get more than 7 people wanting to play I'll start a second game.

Re: Diplomacy - looking for 7 players
I already started a game on my own. The way dipbounced.com works, you don't know who is who at all. The countries address each other as countries in press.
It's kinda neat, because you do ally and backstab as necessary to stay alive. You selectively reveal what you want to to whom you want, but even so it's arguably detrimental to lie.
I can start another game if Wulf begins another. It takes days per move, but it's still fun thinking about moves and waiting for press from others.-- Shroom
