PS-1 Coop?

I was recently at Best Buy and I noticed they were selling PS-1 controllers for $5. My roommate's got a PS-1, but only one controller, so we've never been able to play together. I thought about getting it, but browsing through the games they had available nothing caught my interest for coop play.

Do any of you have recommendations for 2 player PS-1 games? We tend to prefer coop modes of gameplay.

While not technically co-op, Twisted Metal is wicked fun, and can be mostly co-op until you eliminate all of your other opponents.

If you like robot like stuff, try Armed core. A couple of them have been released, Not sure it has coop, maybe?

anything that is not split screen. I hate split screen play unless you have like the TV of the gods or something. I don't know much PS1 we have a PS2 and mostly play ATV2 which is split screen or my kids play fighting games like Dragonball Z. I have tried socom but not online. I have a hard time using PS2 controller over a keyboard go figure.
