Re: The beer thread
Shiner's 99 Munich style Helles lager is great. Bought a 6-pack the other day.

Maybe I need to fly out to Texas sometime and we need to take a trip to Shiner. That Black Lager looks to be right up my alley.

Good stuff, but pricey. But come on, how hard is it to find the witches to burn?"Sympathy means a lot, coming from Kulmar. I didn't think it was possible.

Re: The beer thread
Undead great finds!
I have been enjoying that Helles for about 3 months now.
I usually just go and buy whenever they stock at my local grocery.
I got about a case of the stuff now and I love it.
The Black is also another awesome beer.
The Black and the Helles are specialty brews leading up to Shiners 100th year brewing in Texas.
The Black was meant to be a short run but it was so popular they added it to the lineup.
Which I am extremely glad about.
If you like Negro Modelo. Which is pretty nice.
Then you will probably like the Shiner Black. The only thing is the Black seems to have the malts roasted a little more then the Negro Modelo.
But essentially they are the same "style" a Bohemian Black Lager. I think.........
Just different recipes from different breweries.
Anyways they are great beers and should be tried when anyone gets their hands on them.

Beer Lovers
ok guys list the beers you like and or enjoy drinking

i have been trying diffrent beers to find that 1 beer that
set apart from the rest and one that i would enjoy drinking
every day...
so far the Sam Adams collection of beer has been ranking HIGH
on my list of beers that i enjoy. i just got a case of the
Octoberfest and its one of their seasonal beers that they only
make in the Fall and its not to bad at all. i have been told that
the Winter brew is even better but i will have to wait till Novermber
before ill be able to try it.
Yuengling is another FINE beer that i realy enjoyed drinking and recycling
it back into the water table
the 2 Ying's that i enjoyed were the
traditional lager and the Ying Premium
there are alot more i could list but
dont wana get that envolved untill i get some replies from you guys
But back to the Topic of this thread, give me some good Choices
of beers that you think i or anyone would like to try so i have a few more
idea's . Sam Adams has been the most expensive one yet at 28 dollars a case,, Wow but in my opinion its totaly worth it

Nothing beats that as far as I'm concerned. I live in Ohio, but they do not sell it here, so I have to drive about a half an hour away to pick this up over in PA. Which is fine by me. I just drive over and pick up a couple of cases at a time, which I need to do tomorrow. Yeungling traditional lager is just smooth and has a great taste, that's what I love about it. Sadly anyone not on the east coast is missing out.
But since I ran out, I bought a six pack of Stella Artois to drink tonight, which isn't too bad, although a bit pricey.

Re: Beer Lovers
There is a local brewery here in Tucson called Nimbus that brews a bunch of really good stuff. You can buy 6-packs of some of their stuff in the stores but a lot of their best beers are only available at the brewery. I haven't been buying a ton of beer since my brother started homebrewing. I've been buying Fisher Amber, which isn't that great, because I like the bottles and plan on using them when I start brewing my own stuff.
