Re: Beer Lovers
I like just about anything Sam Adams makes, but i particularly like their:
-Scotch Ale
-Summer Ale
One of my all time favorite beers is Alaskan Brewing Companies Alaskan Amber.
There's a GREAT brewery in Idaho Springs, Colorado called Tommy Knocker and some of my favorites from them are:
- Ornery Amber Lager
- Butt Head Bock
Another well known brewery around here is in Breckenridge, called ironically enough, Breckenridge brewery. My favorites from them are:
- Avalanche Ale
- Vanilla Porter (I especially like this one)
Flying Dog brewery is good:
- Road Dog Porter
- Old Scratch Amber lager
Dog Fish head is good as well:
- I'm not typically a big fan of IPA's, but their 90 minute IPA will tastes great and will knock you on your butt. Pricey thought. Around here it goes for about $9.00 for 4 bottles.
And my favorite porter is Deschute's Black Butte Porter.|TG-55| Infantry Division - Captain

Re: The beer thread
Currently my two go to beers are:
True North India Pale Ale: Tasty, only decent IPA I can found. A very enjoyable beer though best served in a glass, it looses something from a bottle.
Steam Whilstle Pilsner: Nothing to crazy just a really well done Pilsner. It has just enough extra aroma, flavour and mouth feel to make it stand out in the world of lagers.
It's extreamly difficult finding a decent selection here as there is a monopoly set up in our Beer stores.

I'm going here this weekend: http://www.oktoberfest.de/en/index.php
Will sure drink alot of good beers there. Paulaner and Erdinger are german weissbier favourites of mine, and i get to drink those from tap! Can get that in my country so it's gonna be very nice indeed!

Re: The beer thread
Well, I recently found out that I have celiac disease, but haven't had the second test done yet so can't say with 100% certainty that I have it strongly enough that I have to go on a gluten free diet. I'm doing my best to just not think about it because there's so many good beers I haven't tried and want to.
Recently checked out Octoberfest from Sam Adams and it was a bit different at first, but definitely good.
