Apophis Said:
The average member should remain largely unaffected by these changes in corporate and technological infrastructure
Well, thank goodness for that. Like others have said, this is my primary gaming choice and I don't want to go looking again for a group of guys/gals like I have found here. It actually took me a couple years to decide to look for, and pay for, a community like this one, and I feel I made a great choice.
Whenever you are ready to recieve my monthly dollars in a new location you will have them. Thanks for all the hard work!New to TG? Start here!

Re: Important Announcement about Tactical Gamer
The support for Apo in this thread makes me even more certain this is a great place to be. Cool people, fun games, and maturity, could I even find it if I tried?? Maybe we can best show our support by bringing in new members (once the new pay system is in place) I'm sure lots of you frequent many forums, lets see if we can make the new TG even bigger and more popular!

Re: Important Announcement about Tactical Gamer
An interesting thing happened last night. We were playing NS on the TG server. Several members were there, and a non-member who frequents the server and had read this announcement asked me if the NS server was going away. Unable to answer his question definitively, I reminded him (and everyone else reading/hearing our dialog) that TG has confirmed its commitment to maintaining the uptime of the gaming servers that the supporting members want to play on and that only time will tell exactly what that means.
Two non-members, concerned they might lose the server, showed an immediate interest in becoming members, including one who asked where he could go that instant to sign up. They stated essentially what the members already knew: our NS server is a wonderful resource for friendly NS players looking for a quality server to call home. To see them realize that their contributions would help keep the server, and by extension the community, running was very rewarding.Steam Community? Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Re: Important Announcement about Tactical Gamer
To Paul, Chris, and Bob
Remember that it is better in life to try something and fail at it then to not try anything at all. Just the fact you guys attempted to turn something you love to do into a profittable business is worthy of respect. Sorry to see that Network42 did not take off like you guys had hoped.
As a vetern member of the TG community, I will still support you guys, even if my current playing time online is non-existant.

Re: Important Announcement about Tactical Gamer
You'd think I was living under a rock or something. First I heard about any of this was a few days ago. That being said, Paul, I intend to be here with the gang for a good long time. I've been here for more than two years, and then next couple of years ought to be just as entertaining.

Re: Important Announcement about Tactical Gamer
I've been around here long enough to see TG go from a free gaming comunity to what Apo had invisioned the N42 company to become. At first when this all came about I wasnt as excited as some. I oviously missed the bigger picture.
Apo you took a small gaming comminuty and turned it into your dream. Although that dream has faded as dreams sometimes do. You and your team had the guts and determination to try and make that dream come true. Nobody can ever take that away from you. In my eyes you are someone in this world I truely admire and respect. You not only talked the talk but you walked the walk.
Although my time here has not always been a smooth one. Ive always been proud to be a part of the TG world. I hope some day I get to meet the Guys that made N42 so I can shake all of your hands and tell you face to face how Important TG is and how proud I am to be apart of this comminuty.
I'm here to ya kick me out
Anyway I can help to keep TG up and running please feel free to ask......

Paul/Apo
Having read the announcements may I pass on our best wishes and good luck for the changeover. Gaming communities such as TG and dMw deserve to succeed as they provide a unique resource for the mentally sane gamer - so keep paddling hard!
