I use Lavazza mostly. Cheap strong and tasty although im not sure about availability in the states. The Weasel spit coffee is also very nice but not worth the premium, more of a "something to try once" thing.

Out here in the Bay Area Peet's Coffee is everywhere. I moved here 8 years ago and my wife and I don't drink any other coffee.

    You can order online: http://peetscoffee.com/shop/coffee_blends.asp

(warning: it's pricey but I think it's worth it)

I recommend any of the following...

    Blends:
House Blend (most popular by far)
    Garuda
    Arabian Mocha Java

    Dark Roasts:
    Italian
    French

    Region-Specific:
    Sumatra
    Costa Rica

Before Starbucks became huge (and I do quite enjoy their coffee), I was a regular at Gloria Jean's. And, yes, Jamaican Blue Mountain is some good *****, but probably not worth the price.

Ahh, how I love a good coffe discussion. Espresso is my favorite choice and then not the milked out version that goes into lattes / mocchas / machiatos etc., I preffer it served like a Ristretto. The Blue Mountain region is by many considered to produce the best coffebeans in the world. And as provided in the link above the topnotch comes from the droppings of the tree dwelling Paradoxurus Hermaphroditus(a feline creature who eats the raw coffebean, digests it and then poos it back out again). I've never had the pleasure of tasting it but I've heard experts reffering it to the Premier Cru of coffees(while droolilng).

    Here is the creature:
