    Important Announcement

    I have an important announcement, but I'm not going to make it until I see #tacticalgamer host forty (40) concurrent community members.

    No, I won't announce it in IRC, I'll announce it here.

    But you people are going to have to deliver to find out what it is.

    Educate yourself about IRC and join the channel. We're already almost halfway to the above goal.

    Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

    Apophis removed it long ago.

    You'll have to download an IRC client.

    (Google 'chatzilla', 'mirc', or 'web-based irc', perhaps.)

    It's not there any more. You'll have to download a third-party client. I just noticed the same thing.

    Trillian works fine as an IRC client, and instructions for setting it up are in the Tactical Wiki!

    I'm in the same boat as Rincewind, and circumventing IT protections can get you fired.
