Frankly I prefer good multiplayer to survival horror singleplayer in my FPSes. I'll wait for Half-Life 2.

I just want a damned FPS game with co-op. I miss the old doom/duke nuken times where i could take a few buddies and go through the whole game.

personally, I would be surprised if hl2 is "better" than doom3, game engine-wise. But then again, I haven't seen much of anything from valve since hl1, and they did a pretty good job takeing the quake 1 engine, and coming up with the hl1 engine. Although, it was a bit behind quake 2, hl1 did come out a bit sooner, but not by much. That being said, hl1 was ahead of even quake 2 in some significant ways, like lighting, which used to be a huge tradeoff/problem.

Valve has "dropped the ball" so many times since hl1, I think most are thinking that hl1 must have been a fluke. But, I will say that the demo videos are looking very nice.

Valve sure seems to take mod developers a bit more seriously, and that, by itself, makes the HL engine better, IMO.

Your PC may play it on low and possiblely medium. The min requirements are 1.5Ghz, 360ish RAM and a Geforce 3/Radeon 8500 and up.
