If you have a CD writer, you can use CDs until you get a DVD writer. A DVD can hold almost 5GB of data so you could put well over 1000 songs on one disc. A CD is 700MB and could hold about 150-200 songs depending on bitrate and song lengths.

If I had the funds I would buy one. I definatley no MAC fanatic but these little babies are great. Plus many car stereos are starting to come IPOD compatable. And yes youcan storefiles onthem as well. However for easy interface if youjust need to move some stuff I still say grab a little USB drive mine's tiny and holds 129MB. I don't recomend smaller. Mine is big enough a lot of the time but not for my big photoshop projects. I wish I had a 512MB or bigger but the 128MB still serves my pretty big. About $35 bucks at walmart for 128MB about $70 to double it to 256MB.

Allright, I got my iPod. I've got all my MP3's on the computer in a folder structure. It seems like I can't organize them on the iPod with this folder structure. It's only letting me organize by the artist/album/genre tags in the MP3 files, which are blank on my 1000+ MP3s. Is there any way to do this or do I have to go through and change all the files again?

That really sucks. Hopefully, there will be some MP3 tool that will help you tag the files. I found one that might help. It says it can tag MP3's using info from the filename.
