Eqii
Due to my recent decision to continue with college, I've started to bring in financial aid as an income. It won't be much, but it'll be enough to pay my bills and get a membership on TG.
I've been concidering reopening my EQII (Everquest 2) account for a while. I was wondering if anyone was interested in doing this as well.
Some of you play WoW, and I'm not going to try to bring you over to the Light Side, heh, but EQII offers gameplay and systems WoW will never be able to touch on.
It all just depends on why you play the game, to be honest. Slayer and I had quite a long conversation about the differences the other day.
Not only does EQII offer mystifying graphics:

It takes on a sense of reality at the same time with it's atmosphere:

It's indepth character definitions are extremely advanced:

And I have to say it's sparklies are the prettiest ever:

The website offers a unique 360 degree screenshot viewer:

The class system is indepth as well. Once you've started your character, you receive a line of quests from the first person you meet on Refuge Isle. Once you reach the level of 10, you choose your sub-class. Fighters, mages, priests and rogue's all have a variety of things they can advance in to. After completing the level of 20, you start a quest to become your independant class. A summoner from Freeport would become a Necromancer, where a summoner from Qeynos would become a Conjuror.
I could continue with the list for days, but your best bet for information will probably be right here:

Is anyone at all interested?

Re: Eqii
I used to play (had a lvl 50 warden/50 woodworker) for about a year after it was released before I quit.
Supposedly a LOT of things have been changed since May of last year, but I'm not considering going back since SOE sucks

Re: Eqii
I played EQ2. For about 3 days.
Then went back to WoW. It's not that I diddn't like EQ2, or that I liked WoW that much better... no wait, thats exactly it, my bad.
I only got it because at the time I was doing Sony's "All games for $20 a month" thing, but then I realized I diddn't really like any of those games, so I canceled it.RAWGRLRLRLRRLGLRL!!!

Re: Eqii
I haven't looked at Everquest2....I've installed Guild Wars, but have yet to play it. I may check that out, but other than that, World of Warcraft is sufficient until Huxley hits, then all bets are off.

Re: Eqii
Mom, if you're into space games, check out Eve Online. TG has an eve community and just about anyone would be willing to get you started. Theres a 7 day free trial you can get to test it out and see if you like it. Just another option to waste your money on
Plus theres always the support poor teachers fund, of which i am the sole recipient.

Re: Eqii
Do you play X? I wanted to for the longest, and I did the 7 day free trial and loved it, but it was exactly the opposite. I never could get anyone to explain things to me in TS that I didn't understand. I think I may go back to Eve online instead of EQ2, but I dunno.
I'll probably be slain for saying this but WoW is like changing one's gender when it comes to MMO's. It's just... stupid.
Lol.
