Here's a link to a Firefox plugin that allows you to edit and assign stylesheets to certian websites, or all of them:

I was kinda guessing that. *checks*. PNG24. Would 8 even support the correct colors?

So the question is--how can I fix this without spending money on a better photoshop-type program?

(If someone who already HAS such a program wanted to copy my avatar, edit the background to 170-170-170 in GIF format, and then send it to me, that would be cool too. I could also use one with background 4-30-45 for the NS home forums.)

Since the two buttons I use the most are "New posts" and "Mark all forums", I'd prefer that they be in the same nav bar. In fact, I'd be happiest if those two each get their own top level button.
The two search buttons will probably end up staying. There is going to be more content growth outside of the forums, so that forum-specific "Search" pulldown will still be applicable for quick forum searches.

There is now a "Mark Forums Read" link inside the main "Search" pull-down.

I don't understand why people don't use GIFs with transparent backgrounds...

GIF works great if the image has a clean edge. But if you're image has any sort of fading/shading/shadow gradient (i.e. A solid color that fades into transparency/the background color), a GIF looks awful: the format doesn't do "transparent gradients" well.... the ironic thing is that PNG does handle this well, but of course not all browsers *coughmscough* display the transparent parts of PNG's!!

Yeah. Thanks Microsoft! I hope Vista will have the bleeding edge technology of properly displaying PNG file on the be-all-end-all "IE 3000"

Right, but I'm looking at everyone's crisp, sharp logos that they use for avatars and I'm seeing GIF written all over 'em...

In case it's not already a known issue: clicking on the word "Members" in the topmost nav directs the client to the Search page?

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Also, I'd love to see the 'Resources' link's HREF changed to 'javascript:;', as the '#' changes my scroll position, which is of course undesirable.

edit: Strangely, the 'Resources' link points to http://www.tacticalgamer.com/# when viewed from *this page*, but it points to http://www.tacticalgamer.com/search.php# when displayed on the search screen?

Oh, and you can put this waaay down on your list, but I miss the arcade

Zephyr: Besides Wyzcrak and his godly voice; the kind of voice that you will expect to say "Zephyr, I need you to build an ark at Marine Start, with room for two of every structure so that I may turret spam for 40 days and 40 nights" that is.

Squeak:Sometimes I'm awed by zibs genius. Then I remember he's Canadian and I feel significantly less threatened.
