Yeah, I tend to agree. This isn't great on the eyes.

I need a bigger square to click on to go to the first unread post in a thread from the thread listing. This new icon is itty bitty.

Good, I also approve of the change. Freshens up the place.

Re: New Look

I'm not really a fan of the new look, and there's one thing in particular that I miss about the old page, which was the nifty pop-up menu that allowed you to go to a specific forum directly from the main page. As I don't always have the best connection, it was nice to not have to sit through the extra page load. Any chance of bringing that feature back, or is it gone for good?

Re: New Look

Any chance we can get an option between the old and this new one in our profiles?

That would kind of defeat the purpose of post #4 in this thread. I need to NOT be spending enormous amounts of time every few weeks trying to update the templates when patches come out.

The direct access to the forums will be back and it will be GREATLY enhanced. There's a lot of new functionality coming soon that I think you'll like if you liked the menus before.

So no worries, it will be back.

As for you not always having the best of connections; it should please you that this design is a LOT lighter on the bandwidth than the previous one.

Re: New Look

Awesome, the hard work that goes into this site continues to amaze me. Question: Will the ads be coming back? I don't mind them or anything, just noticed they are gone.

Re: New Look

Ouch.

While I understand the need to save time on updates and lower bandwidth is definitely a plus, when I loaded the site, I couldn't help but wince.

I hate to critique the effort, because of the benefits it gives, but this looks really horrible to me and is a real eyesore. I realise that's just my opinion, so I'll leave it at that. Short of offering to tweak it myself, I'm sure there's not much else that can be done

Re: New Look

The only thing I'd say I don't particularly like is yellow, but I've hated the color yellow for eons. Love the silver though, can definatley live with it.
