pdf documents... how?
Do you have to buy the expensive PDF editor software to make pdf documents, or is there a easier, better way for making PDF documents?
Any links on how to do this, been reading pdf's for years, but now want to see about making some of those documents. Just wondering, Thx in advance. |

Re: pdf documents... how?
I don't have to create them often but when I do I use PDF995. It's nag-ware but basically it creates a 'PDF995' printer that you print to and when you do that it saves whatever you printed to a PDF.

Here's an open source version of the same type of program: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

Yea, I too use open office over word. It's free, loaded full of features, and constantly improving. The only thing I miss from word is the vast synonyms dictionary, that really helps with essays and the like, but I get by.
