It has that cheesy charm of the classic Doctor, which will alienate the Star Wars fans who can't watch anything unless it's full of the latest special effects.

My favorite scene was when Daleks invaded and the military tried to evade them by running up the stairs. (Hint: It's not effective. )

Re: Watching Heroes?

Phew, just watched the last two eps of Heroes last night. I've been avoiding this thread ever since I started the series. Looking forward to next season.

Re: Watching Heroes?

September 22nd! This year looks better than last. Shame they couldn't flesh it out last year. Maybe they'll explain more this season about last.

Re: Watching Heroes?

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked for Villains. Especially after last seasons total failure. Let's hope there's no writers strike this season!

Re: Watching Heroes?

Holy freaking crap. The end of the Butterfly Effect episode completely threw me.

This season is gonna be GOOD.

Re: Watching Heroes?

2 hours of awesomeness. Though i will say I am still underwhelmed because the first season was so great when my g/f and I first watched it. What they have going on now seems surreal and a bit over the top but it's natural. Great story telling and I hope they can do the show without using up to much money.

Re: Watching Heroes?

Soon I will have season 1 on HD-DVD. I plan to buy it on ebay used. The HD-DVD prices are amazing. If only it lasted long enough to get season 2 and say Iron Man on HD-DVD.

Oh well.

Re: Watching Heroes?

I really enjoyed most of the first season until the end. I thought the ending was awful. I especially hated that Sylamer lived as I consider him one of the lamest villians ever. As season 2 progressed and the show started to get built around Sylamer, I watched even less and less. I think he is a wonderful actor but the character is just aweful. Now it appears the entire thing is built around him in an official sort of way. No thanks NBC!!!

My other issue would be that the show started off with the idea that these were going to be small abilities. More like a TV show based on Unbreakable where it was almost realistic yet like a comic book. Instead it seems we are headed more the Xmen route but with the show build around the villian. Xmen while a huge success and very popular to this day... has been done and I was hoping for a show that would fill the gap and take the super hero style in a new direction.
