Re: Watching Heroes?
Not necessarily. Sylar's ability is that he knows how things work; I think he "absorbs" abilities simply because his ability allows him to figure out how other people do their things. In essence, he studies their brain and teaches himself how to do what they do. I'm not even sure that killing the person is necessary.
As far as Nikki goes, I think her actual ability is superhuman strength. The split personality thing might only be there because she's got some sort of a block because she's emotionally damaged.
Yea, I remember Peter dreaming things before, but this seemed... different. I don't understand what's causing his sudden illness, or why he didn't get healed/cured while he was talking to Claire. I noticed that his coughing and such stopped, however.

Re: Watching Heroes?
I think Nikki functions a lot like the Incredible Hulk...only this meanie isn't so green and is a helluva lot cuter. She gets mad, Jessica comes out to play with her super strength and hardcore demeanor. Something happens to soften her up and it's back to Nikki again.

I think that's probably it. Slight case of Schizophrenia due to her past with Hal.
It's not unheard of as an escape from harm, for a mind to essentially shut off all senses. I don't think Jessica has anything to do with her ability. She just isn't afraid to use it.RAWGRLRLRLRRLGLRL!!!

Re: Watching Heroes?
I think it may be that she's able to use her ability in the future, but for the time being, the fact that the Super Important Recurring Symbol only appears on her back when Jessica has surfaced makes me think that there is actually a physical change that occurs, rather than just an attitude adjustment.

LOL COuld be but their are cases of people with Multiple Personalities that have complete physical changes... Such as different personalities having different eye colors...or even one having an illness and the others not...
I think she has that mental barrier from abuse and soon she will overcome it to save her son...Her personality reminds me of Tyler Durden in Fight Club... First things happening without knowing and sudden realization that all those "BAD" things were done by you...

Re: Watching Heroes?
I love these shows and I am enthused with the fact that the Charachter Hiro in real life is a brown graduate. Who actually wrote the code for programs that Industrial Light & Magic used back a couple of years ago and still works with ILM.
On a different note as much as I hate DRM I actually buy the episodes off from itunes and watch them after I get home from work. I really need to invest in a tv tuner card.. lol

Re: Watching Heroes?
so do you think the girl with big brown eyes died or do you think Syler died? And what's up Peter Petrelli blowing up? These are the questions that I will wait through the holidays in anticipation. Aarrgghhh...I was bummed the girl in the cafe died. And the mysterious black man talks?!!! More to this story that we need to get to the bottom of.

Re: Watching Heroes?
I think Eden died. She is the only character that has never had any "personal" camera time. No home life, no personal issues, no character development = character was always expendable.
Sylar will be around for a while yet, because so far he and Jessica are the only characters that have actually presented themselves as "bad guys." Mr. Bennett has always gotten a lot of sinister music, but being nosy and meddlesome makes him more like a mother-in-law than a baddie.

Re: Watching Heroes?
Since we're talkin' spoilers here, the girl who was trying to kill Syler blew her own brains out so that Syler couldn't get her brain and thence, obtain her abilities. That's my guess atleast.

Re: Watching Heroes?
Yep, Eden is dead. Killed herself before Sylar could steal her ability. Since the previews foreshadowed a hero dying, I was putting my money on Nathan Petrelli or Mr. Bennett. However, as soon as Eden said, "I can make him kill himself," I knew she was the one that was going out.
As far as the Haitian talking, I get the feeling that one of two things is happening. Either the organization they work for has decided that Bennett has gone off the radar and will be getting rid of him, or the organization is changing their grand plan without telling him. Not sure I can see something so simple as the Haitian rebelling or "having a heart."

Re: Watching Heroes?
I disagree. I think Eden looked at the Haitian with that little smile before she started her own little rebellion for a reason, and that she told him to tell Claire what was going on.

Re: Watching Heroes?
But, would the Haitian been so detailed in making sure she can "keep a secret". I doubt Eden would of told the Haitian... "Tell Claire what is going on, but make sure she can keep a secret first" It would of been more like...
"Tell Claire everything about what is going on" with no stipulation about secrets, or anything else.

Re: Watching Heroes?
I didn't mean she "TOLD" him like power-wise. I think that she and he (the ones with actual powers) may not necessarily be happy with the "all your powers are belong to us" attitude of the organization that they work for.
I was just thinking that because Mr. Bennett has managed so far to follow the instructions of the organization that he works for, the odds that they have decided he is in the wrong or that they needed to change the "plan" through his underlings are pretty slim. I think the Haitian did what he did in concert with Eden's actions with Isaac and her attempt on Sylar.

Re: Watching Heroes?
My theory about this was the whole Metal Gear approach. Have the underling (Bennett) work on and believe in one thing, while his superior (akin to Big Boss) and the organization do something completely different. All Bennett really seems to be doing is to collect people with powers; I think he's a relatively small player in the big picture and doesn't need to know all that's going on.
