Re: Console gaming and TG
As far as console gaming goes, I don't have an xbox, and won't be getting one. If anyone fancies some PS2 burnout 3 fun, I'd quite possibly be up for that.

Re: Console gaming and TG
Fenix thanks for the excellent post. Dude to my ?roomate's wife's insistence? an XBOX 360 was purchased for our household today. Just from playing a free demo I can see the potential here for TG. Rainbow Six:Vegas is amazing to see. The squad-system in Chromehouds means we could achieve TG-style gameplay, at least on our side. Assuming 'Hounds don't bunny-hop, the team we play against can be as smacktarded as they like I suppose. Less than optimal if they are as immature as this thread proports, but nevertheless, I think it would be presumptuous to say TG teamwork wouldn't find challenges out there. There are organized friend 'groups' or clans for many games I believe. As for server administration, we may have to settle for pub raiding to start as a TG core community builds and proves itself worthy of a TG 'server' (dedicated XBOX hosting a game?). I think that task would give us more than enough of a task to occupy our efforts.

Re: Console gaming and TG
Not really. In any FPS, the guy with the joystick is going to be at an EXTREME disadvantage to the guy with a mouse and keyboard. In fact, I've noticed a lot of auto-aiming help with BF2:MC for 360. With how fast-paced the action is, it's almost needed.
The sniper rifle is pretty much a one-hit kill weapon when used right. That, combined with a mouse, would make sniper the only class worth using as I find that kit particularly over powered in the game.
Basically, if it's worth making for PC and Console: it's worth buying on PC.

Re: Console gaming and TG
I believe alot of TGer's have consoles and would enjoy playing together as we do on PC's. I have a Xbox/Live and would like to play with some TGer's on a weekly bases. Perhaps I'll start a thread in the console section as I enjoy playing Halo 2.
In many ways, I enjoying playing a console over a PC. Alot of the time I get sick of the headaches that can come with a PC: system requirements, settings, downloads, patches, upgrading video cards, error messages, etc, etc.
It's nice to just load a game into a console and 99% of the time the game is going to work and does not require a computer science degree to operate. My Xbox Live service is easy to navigate/use and I'm in game quickly. After a long day sometimes it's nice to hit play and play the game rather than fixing the game.|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

Re: Console gaming and TG
I believe form what i have read on here that for the most...if not all gamers on here have a firm grip on the concept of gaming as a hole, hence the name Tactical Gamer. So it would be very easy to see some top notch games set up via xbox live, and played to their true potential.
From a personal perspective playing the likes of (Battlefield 2 Modern Combat) on Xbox live. There is nothing worse then playing alongside the circus, everyone running around like headless chickens with no true direction void of tactical play, and as a result find myself jumping on the bandwagon.Ever get the feeling that the world is a tuxedo and you are a pair of brown shoes
