I have a panasonic 10 cup rice cooker that I've been using for the past 7 years. It doesn't have any fancy LEDs or computer timed cycles; but, cooks rice pretty consistently. I think it was $35-40 when I got it.

I have a Sunpentown (it is a Taiwanese brand) water boiler (it boils a gallon of water and then keeps it at 212oF). It's been on 24/7 for the past 5 years, and I haven't had a problem with it. I don't know about the quality of their rice cookers though.
