What a great punked.

My chemistry partner who was super smart had to room with these orges his first semester at the University.

When his sweet mate came back in from a party and vomated gastric contents and blood all over the head, he did not teel the guy that doing so is a huge health risk (for himself).
I mean, the jerk left the head as a bio hazard (huge health risk for everyone else) for someone else to clean up. Granted the guy was deathly ill, but Mr. Clean actually does all the work.

Re: Roomates. Ugh.

I had a roommate once who decided that while I was on vacation for two weeks would cook dinner for her boyfriend. She used my crockpot. She also later decided to not clean it and even later when it began to stink she would just put it out on the balcony......outside of my bedroom. Imagine my awesome surprise when I returned after two weeks of summer heat to a covered crockpot with leftover pork roast. It was completely filled with maggots and flies and it had even rotted the spot it was sitting on of my balcony. Disgusting doesnt even begin to describe it. I told her she had to go right after that, I would rather live alone.

My daughter and my boyfriend arent much better at picking up after themselves than what ya'll have posted but I guess Im just so used to just doing it myself because they seem not to hear me when I complain that its just standard practice in my house. I work, I cook, I clean, I go to bed, repeat the next day. Im thinking someday either they will change or I will crack and kill them

I've taken the liberty to "translate" Ric's post.

I thoroughly enjoyed your story. That prank was unique and original.

I had a very bright friend who had quite undesirable roommates (ogres) as a Freshman. Unfortunately for them, my smart friend has been known to harbor intense hostility toward people.

One roommate (suitemate) drank to excess at a social function to the point of vomiting blood (amongst other libations) all over the toilet in their shared bathroom (in the suite, presumably). A normal person would have expected someone, even in his state, to use a commercially available solvent to clean up his own mess.

In retaliation, he didn't inform the ill roommate that the vomitous mess was a health risk, hoping that he would die from exposure to his own vomit and blood.

Just having a laugh Ric - I'm pretty sure you know what you mean when you're posting, but it's very hard for some of us to decipher your posts sometimes. No offense, but as Dennis Hopper's character said to his son Clarence in True Romance "Slow it down, maaan!" Maybe re-read your post a couple times to make sure what you were trying to say was communicated clearly. I generally re-read/edit my posts (seriously) 2 or 3 times each, for example.

Re: Roomates. Ugh.

you got it almost right Beanik,

Internal bleeding is a huge issue to one's person.

Not telling him would of perhaps kept him in the dark of this Series issue.

So i guess the jokes on the Ogre when he becomes super ill from this.

The biohazard head, was the motivation, among other things.

Talking Re: Roomates. Ugh.

OMG that last post of Ric's brought something back to me.

I had this room dude in college, 3rd year and he was a SLOB! He was also avout 6'5" and 300lbs and love to throw his weight around. Since I was only 6'1" and 110lbs (shut up) I really couldn't "take him" in a fair fight. Well one day we are playing golf and this other friend of ours hits my room dude in the head with a line drive out of the tee box, blood all over the place and I'm laughing my ass off. Well the para's told me to make sure I woke him up every hour so he wouldn't slip into a coma, screw that I had a party with some "buckle bunnies" that night so he got to sleep.

Well at the crack of dawn I roll into the house and proceed to take some fishing line (about 6lb test so its thin) and a dozen "wiffle" golf balls (the ones with the holes in them) and some thumb tacks and set a little "trap". I hung the wiffles from the ceiling so when the dude woke up all these golf balls would be hanging over him. What I didn't take into consideration was that he would sit up and they would bounce off of his already dented nugget.

The sound he made when he hit the balls was similar to a broken ribbed school girl running for her life and his 300lbs ass rebounded off of the floor and into his PC desk at about mach 2. I laughed so hard I thought I would die.

You guys just had to be there.

Re: Roomates. Ugh.

Ok...roommates...heh...

While at UMASS Boston I needed to find a new place to live. I answered an add seeking a room mate in the same town I already lived in...

Girl comes to the door drop dead gorgeous, blonde, slim, pretty, long hair blue eyes....blubber blubber blubber...ya...I'd like a room ...You think I would've known something was awry...a girl like this alone ?? der Grunt.

I got the room and three weeks later I got the girl. I like to say we were a match made in hell. Oh things were great for the first 6 months or so but the next 3 years after that were a rough patch to say the least...But - I've got some doozy experiences from her...man oh man...my wife today still hates me talking about her !!..

Re: Roomates. Ugh.

Nice

I had to share a house with a guy for 2yrs. (We were friends until this)

He had the room below mine and used to smoke from when he got in until he went to sleep.

This got a little much so I started to get creative to ensure ventilation for him and mainly my room. I sealed the lock on his window open so even when it was -10c he still had lovely fresh air and has my plumber friend place a new thermostat on his radiator to make sure it looked like it went all the way up but really didnt.

He ate nothing but microwave meals for 2yrs and once burnt some kind of cheap meat so bad I had to replace my own pot. (uggh)

While going out with a girl (no idea where the attraction was he was 5'5 and smelled of grease). She gave him a digital camera, PC, PS2 and drove him everywhere. He went to Thailand for 2 wks(thats another story) came back and dumped her. Kept all the stuff though....

When he moved out last july I cleanded his room and spent two hours cleaning the window to remove all the tar for his smoke. Found his nasty dvd collection (all bdsm stuff)

I wont even look at him anymore - disgusting

Re: Roomates. Ugh.

Worst roommate situation I ever had evolved from me being in a bad state to begin with.

I had moved to Indiana, PA to be with my girlfriend who was in school there. Indiana is a small town (read: tiny tiny tiny.) and there arent many jobs available. So I was broke and moved in with a friend of hers from her nursing program, who was really cool, and his other roommate (also a nursing student) whom I had never met, but heard he was strange. It was very cheap and would afford me to help pay my girlfriend's tuition on a very limited job.

Everything went well for about the first two weeks. Mark, the cool one, and I shared a room and Dave, the wierd guy had the living room which he had turned into a bedroom of sorts (we still used it as a living room because the TV which was mark's and the stereo which was mine, were in there). We all made an agreement that during normal daylight hours Mark and I would have access to the living room, but at night we'd respect his privacy and stay out.

Well, things got interesting after we found out that he had a 1 year old son whom his ex was now forcing him to take care of on the weekends. This meant incessant baby crying because he had no parenting skills, very very limited access to the living room because the baby was sleeping at all hours which would have been convenient to watch tv.

So we talked to dave about it and asked him if he could come to some agreement with his girlfriend where he could possibly swap care routines so he would have the baby during the week (ideal because i was at work all day and mark was in class or studying) and that way we could be free to have a nice relaxing weekend in front of the tube if we wanted. He said he'd talk to her about it.

the next day, I gave mark a ride home from class and we found a masterlock on the door to the living room. We were kinda puzzled, so we waited for dave to get home and asked him. He blew us off saying he needed his privacy and was tired of us "invading his space". At this point, dave had eaten all of our food with his buddies, bummed money off us for baby supplies, and we had to cover his rent and bills twice in the past 2 months. Needless to say, we were PISSED.

He also wasnt on the lease.

This went on for a few days before we decided to confront him toe to toe about it and told him that if he didnt take the lock off, we were going to bust down the door, remove our stuff, put up locks of our own and kick him out. He walked out and told us that we "could try and be sorry". So we did.

He then called the cops on us. The cops showed up and talked to all of us and when my story matched marks, as well as the neighbors complaints about the baby (all college kids mind you), they sided with us and filed a report with the landlord. The landlord called us and told us that we had all rights to kick him out. We were nice and gave him 3 days to pack up his stuff and get out.

That night mark and I awoke to our door creaking open and dave standing in it with a knife. We threw everything we could think of at him. Mark managed to connect to his face with a clock radio and knocked him out cold. WE called the cops immediately and they were there in about 45 seconds...literally. Dave was still out cold and they arrested him and took him to jail.

We went to the closest home depot, which was an hour away, that night and changed the lock on the door. The next day, i came home from work and found the door kicked in, mark's tv smashed, my stereo stolen, my bed slashed with a knife and all of my clothes and mark's clothes burned in the bathtub. We called the cops again, but they couldnt find Dave anywhere. He had already withdrawn from college and disappeared.

Nobody that I know of has heard from him since. He's got warrants out for trespassing, destruction of property, and skipping bail on charges pending for assault with a deadly weapon on both me and mark (which he was arrested for in the first place). Me and mark found a new apartment shortly after and notified the police of where we lived just in case.

Anyway, I think we're due for an update on the topic post. How's "operation remove pots and pans" going?
