yeah i know you have the same problem.. Ive gone shopping with you... You made me sit outside of Best Buy at 3AM on Black Friday so we could go buy junk we didnt need.. I still havent taken that computer monitor out of the box... In fact i havent taken the 24" monitor out of the box that i bought like 2 months ago..

Your problem might not be ebay, but its www.newegg.com for you. If i recall you just recieved 2 boxes from them yesterday, and you will probably recieve 2 more today huh?

umm.. well who is the one that said.. "you should try WOW".. so, I'm gonna blame having to build a new computer ALL on you... My lil 1970's POS was working just fine for the stuff I needed to do...

And.. I needed a new monitor.. You didn't..

Re: KICK Your Habit Thread

I'm surprised only one person mentioned tobacco. I gave that up 20 years ago. Cold Turkey. Had a new girl in my life that didn't smoke and she said she wouldn't date me if I smoked. I went on a 10 day backpacking trip in the White Mountains of NH and did not bring the butts... When I came home I was cured...aaahhhh..the power of the female...

I'm on TG way way too much (look at me now..2:15 in the middle of the day at work....ahhhh, Hi Boss). lately I've been looking at TG.com only after lunch and only for a few minutes before I get back to what I should be doing. TG is addictive !!

I think a packet of sugar is four grams. So 39 grams of sugar would be more like ten regular sugar packets.

Re: KICK Your Habit Thread

I do not have the Sugar-Water cravings... I passed a kidney stone due to lack of proper hydration about a year ago, and I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!! So, I drink about 64+ onces of H20/day now. And I have to tell you, being fully hydrated gives you energy and makes you feel better all the time (although I piss alot).

However, I am addicted to:

1) Cigarette addiction that I've been trying to kick off/on for years. I am not a heavy smoker (1-3/day), but it is enough to make me feel like crap most of the time - especially when hiking in the backcountry/skiing. I definitely need to quit NOW!

2) Spending too much money on computer parts - Newegg.com addict - I see this more as a hobby than an addiction. But I'm learning to be moderate. (speaking of, its about time to build a new computer)

3) Gaming - but I've been much better over the last 6-8 months. WOW did me in, I had to just cancel my account and uninstall it.

Re: KICK Your Habit Thread

Who's there? No! Spiders! Spiders! So many spiders on my skin! Nooooooooo!! (picture a sweating junkie in a dirty hotel room)

Ok, Day 2 has not been that extreme but I'm starting to get a bad headache, you were right freekye.

I did go to McDonald's today (I should quit that place, but thats for another thread, though have not gone in awhile) and ordered a Big Mac, fries and a...water. Not sure how many all of you order water with your junk food but I felt better than if I had ordered a Coke. Plus you get an odd look from the cashier.

I'm the same way Grunt. I find myself on TG too much during work. Laughing all of a sudden by myself is a dead give away that I'm not just looking for work related info on the internet. Trying to cut back. I'm quitting smoking again after a brief flare up. I smoked for almost 11 years and I quit for about a year and a half. I stupidly picked it up again in July and have been chain smoking since. Today was my first day off the tabaccy, cold turkey. So far so good. As expected, I've been munching like a mad man all day though.

Re: KICK Your Habit Thread

Day 3 - Massive headache - I feel like my head is going to explode. Tonight was hard - missed that 32 oz Big Gulp while playing. Though I am drinking 25% Coke - no sugar, carbnation or caffeine - it's called water. Perhaps if I fill a 32 oz Big Gulp with water, ice and drink from a straw it will fool my brain.
