Re: Guild Wars...
I think you'll find Nightfall to your liking...I'm almost done with the campaign, then I'll get going with Prophecies/Factions (I know, a little backwards)...I'd be done with it but the pvp is fun as hell and very distracting.

Yea, I've been playing it and its pretty fun, actually thinking about picking up factions now since I don't have it yet.

Re: Guild Wars...
I have prophecies and factions and havent had anyone to play with in a long time. If you would like a game night let me know.

Re: Guild Wars...
I've been playing with Nightfall lately, it's a lot of fun! PvE wise... I too quit shortly after playing factions. PvE was crap in that one, I hated it with a passion. Now that I have heros though, I might give it another go.

Re: Guild Wars...
I still enjoy the PvE, but as soon as I go do some pvp for a little bit, I get hooked an end up just doing that for a couple of hours. I just joined Kamer's guild too (looks to be very active too, my previous one was near silent) so this game looks to be a keeper for me.

Re: Guild Wars...
I personally love the series since it's light on the wallet and has some of the best graphics. I have all 3 of the campaigns but I havent been playing recently since I just got NWN2 and BF2142. However, I did make a Dervish recently and I have 4 chars I use most of the time. My A/E is Ermac The Deadly if you want to contact me.

Re: Guild Wars...
Cool...when I get to play later on I'll look you up. I just read about a few of the different Factions PVP games like Fort Aspenwood and have been having some fun with that. Only 2 missions to go on Nightfall now, too. The graphics are incredible, I run it all on high at 60 fps while 2142 I have to run on medium. The people at ArenaNet are wizards with their engine.

Re: Guild Wars...
Guess I should mention my characters here:
Kinsmen Of Heimdall (W/Mo20)
Kinsmen Of Hel (N/Mo20)
Kinsmen Of Muspel (E/ what a surprise M20)
Kinsmen Of Ull (R/Rt20)
Russ The Reaper (D/R20)
Russ The Blasphemer (Rt newb character)
This is all PvE, I don't PvP namely because I've had nothing but bad experiences with the public PvP matches (people leaving mid-match because they are loosing or mouthing off...) Willing to try it if we can have a closed match, but can't guarantee results :P|TG|Clodhopper - Intelligence is the key, but I'm locked out!

Re: Guild Wars...
I know what you're saying with people mouthing off/dropping and all that but I put up with it cuz while I like PvE, it's the PvP that keeps me in any game. I'm just generally used to that kind of behavior so I'm pretty much able to ignore it - especially when I'll have the chance to spear/drain/whatever them to death =)

Re: Guild Wars...
Heh nothing's shameful for a gamer. I logged a lot of time on WoW and Asheron's Call (yeah I played that one...a lot) and UO before that so no biggie. Last night I was trying to do the Gates of Madness quest with heroes/henchies, got all the way to Shiro and got soundly trounced. It takes at least 30 mins to get there too so having to start over again is a bit infuriating. But then I headed over to Fort Aspenwood (Kurzick) and that made me feel better. There's so many things to do in this game.

Re: Guild Wars...
I purchased the original GW (prophecies) about a year ago, as I wanted to play a popular well-known MMORPG that didn't have a monthly fee. About 3 months in, I quit. Something about it just turned me off, I'm not exactly sure what. I might get back in if TG starts something up, otherwise I'm keeping my distance.
And don't even ask for my character names. The only one I remember is one that makes me laugh each time I log in: I Stole This Name.

Re: Guild Wars...
Yeah, I love the content they provide for no monthly fee..it's amazing really. I would think it would be really cool if TG started a guild (I've seen in past threads that it was attempted before) but I understand it has to have enough support.
