Number two I am very familar with.
I rented the first SNES Doom about 12 year ago, and it was an awsome weekend.

Re: The Top Ten Game Weapons...
Fun!
I think they are confused about the Doom chainsaw though. You can get it on the second level of the game. That isn't much waiting.
I did way too much chainsaw-only Doom back in the day. I remember starting on the first level in Doom II and refusing to use anything aside from the chainsaw. I can't remember how far I made it, but it was pretty far. After awhile, you face too many things which are not chainsaw-friendly.

Same could be said for Heretic's Morph Ovum. I didn't spend that much time playing Heretic, but it did have a fun side.

Re: The Top Ten Game Weapons...
Where's the cerebral bore from Turok2 ?? LOL love that thing!
*for those who dont know... It fires a projectile that attaches to an enemy's skull.... start drilling into it's head( the whole time theres a steady fountain of greyish red substance gushing from within ) ... after a few seconds of drilling.. the probe then detonates... making a big mess
oh wait... the razorwind! o.O Man I miss those turok games... they were huge and lots of killing to be done... plus, every sequal continously had new and better weapons.. I think the Turok series has had the best history of weapon coolness and creativity

Re: The Top Ten Game Weapons...
Bah! Gravity gun? Those puny FPS shooter weapons are no match for the highest tech-level weapon in Master of Orion II (MOO2).
You're going to need that gravity gun to put your planet back together after my Stellar Converter has turned it into a gravel pit.
Yes, technically the wrong genre, but the topic *is* Best Game Weapons.

Re: The Top Ten Game Weapons...
um...wheres the magic arrows from zelda? or the buster cannon from megaman? I mean really, those two weapons spanned the entire series of both games, and theres still new megaman games coming out!

Re: The Top Ten Game Weapons...
Yeah, but it's best weapons, not most prolific.
