Question What TV Show Is On That Makes Ya A DieHard Fan
Basically I'm not watching much of anything so I'm curious what to look for. I saw the premiere of 24 thats basically it.

Yea that is a good show...most of the time T.V. is on as background noise when I am playing a game. I do DVR a few shows like...

A few others but I would rather DVR stuff and cut the commecials out and watch things when I want.

I am a big fan of the following shows. Some of them aren't running at the moment, but DVD's will solve that problem. All of them are best viewed in order from the first season.


Rome
- ancient Rome done in a gritty "Deadwood" style
- I've only just started watching this, but my friend has declared it "the best show ever"
- apparently the most expensive tv series ever produced
- 2nd season just started

The Wire
- fantastic cop drama
- a story so incredibly well written that you could study it in english literature class
- season 5 is coming up, but I don't know when

Dexter
- exciting and creepy cops and serial killers
- 1 season done before xmas, not sure when the next starts

The Shield
- intense cop drama
- season 6 is starting soon, maybe March, you need to watch 'em all to really enjoy it

Deadwood
- freaking awesome western
- all over but the finale

Veronica Mars, which is actually on hiatus 'till the 28th, and Eureka, which is in between seasons right now.

I kinda let TV run my life, but luckily my DVR keeps my schedule flexible.
My top shows?
24, Lost, Veronica Mars, Heroes, Scrubs.

Next level? - The Office, Jericho, How I met Your Mother, Entourage, Weeds

Yep I'm going with icky. The Wire (possibly the most underappeciated show ever made), Deadwood, and Dexter are all winners.

Wow...

I can't believe The Sopranos hasn't been mentioned..A&E started showing it from the first episode last wednesday night...I absolutely love that show...

Also really enjoyed Deadwood...I started watching Rome...but lost interest..I don't really know why
