I wonder if TG has any plans to support this?

They've been pretty professional, so expect either this Christmas or early 2008. I mean if you visit their site...well you'll see that they've really taken a hard project on with above and beyond insane commitment.
They're remaking the singleplayer, I don't know the exact reason we'd support it other as a download as there are no plans for multiplayer as of yet as of now as of as of. :P

Re: Black Mesa Source Trailer
I've been watching this for a while, and I pretty much almost want it more than Episode 2.

Blah, just because it is made by Source, they ruin what they touch for some reason.

What's so cool about this? Is this something I don't get because I didn't play the HL1 expansions?

Re: Black Mesa Source Trailer
Yeah I don't get it either.. looks like a level fly-through set to some dramatic music. I kept waiting for it to start and then it ended

Re: Black Mesa Source Trailer
Pretty much, Hl1 was great. the HL1:Source game was just pathetic. There wasn't enough stuff in HL1 oringinally to really notice the source engine's functionality.
Black Mesa:Source completely remakes and updates HL1 in the source engine. From better physics and more physics puzzles, to smarter AI and more "realistic" style of enviroment if I remember correctly.
Basically, it's like they just updated hl1 to modern (or 2005/2006) standards of gameplay.
Think of it like compairing doom 1 and doom 3. Doom 3 is pretty much a remake of Doom 1, not really a new game, just modernizing the older game into modern standards of gameplay.
Not for the Glory. Not for the Honor. For the Team.
