Re: Snow day!

Wow...and I thought I was only one bogged down by this snow.

Hey perry, how'd you get to work with your car buried in powder?

Re: Snow day!

My car is the one under the car port! Stuff is still coming down.. I can't see the roads getting better over night, but I can't see the company closing down for a second day -- it'll cost em too much money!

Hmm.. is Uof I the place in dekalb?

That's Northern; University of Illinois is in Urbana-Champaign.

So yea, it's actually pretty bad here. I misjudged how crappy it was outside, we can officially call it a blizzard. Snow and plow drifts higher than cars' hoods, and the snow/wind keeps coming. Helped removed a bunch of cars from their owners' stupid decisions on the way home from work too, heh.

edit: oh, and the UI has cancelled classes tomorrow already. guess I'll have to sit home and play games all day instead of going to work

Re: Snow day!

I'm up in Weatherford (near Fort Worth) and yeah it's chilly. No snow yet, but there may be flurries tomorrow. If I can't get to work is closed tomorrow, I'm hosed. My 4 year old laptop can't hang with CS:S or BF2. I hate working out of town. :-(

I'm so glad we don't have to deal with what ya'll are dealin' with, though.

So, whatever happened to global warming? Well, since we're told we know how to warm up the earth, we should do the north a favor and run all our cars and make as much C02 as possible, that should help you guys out. Just kidding. I hope all our snowed in TG brethren fair the weather safely. Stay warm.

Re: Snow day!

Maybe mother nature decided to get lazy and throw cold air and ice chunks at us instead?

Heheh so true. The school buses were canceled for no more than 2 inches (5 cm) of snow this morning. I suspect they were desperate for a snow day after such a dry winter.

Re: Snow day!

Snow days all across Massachusetts, and my friends in Pennsylvania have classes canceled as well. Looks like it's nationwide; all the COOL states have snow right now. This is where the party's at!
