I counted 4 flakes here in south Alabama.

So we pretty much had a blizzard too by our standards

Had to use my broom (really, don't have a snow shovel) to get my car out this morning. Pay extra for that carport and the stupid plows just pack the snow behind the car. They just plowed down the middle of the street today, so my spot was even worse when I got home and I decided to park where that Taurus is in my picture. Got stuck halfway in the spot. Saw a neighbor and borrowed his shovel then proceeded to spend 20 minutes shoveling myself a spot. Was pretty angry at them -- can't use the parking spot that I'm paying for!

Supposed to get a couple more inches on Saturday, and no above freezing temps in the forecast. Ugh. I think I'll stop at Target tomorrow and get me a shovel.

we got about 2 feet of snow today. it was very cool. no work, but shoveling was epic.

So I woke up yesterday and my apartment complex's lot (about 50' x 120') was under 1+ feet of snow, with some drifts up to 4 feet. I figured that maybe the landlord would come free us. Around 3pm I hear shovelling and think to myself that I might get out after all. Then I look outside and saw it was the one dude who lives in the complex that happens to have a shovel.

Couldn't let him do it by himself, so I went off in search of a shovel. The guy in the house behind our apartment loaned me his, and I started to help. A bit later two other guys joined in with garbage cans and their bare hands. Four hours later, we had managed to dig out a wide path through our lot to the street, and we freed the cars of all the various people that helped on and off.

I'm sore and bruised, but I can finally move my car. Wish I had a picture to share, but I couldn't find my camera.

The street in front of my office, closed down this morning. They ran out of places to put the snow. It's supposed to snow more tomorrow, too.

Well my housemate and I managed to dig one of our cars out today. Mine's still buried.

Here's our backdoor--we can't get out that way.

Damn Sordavie that door needs paint!

We finally got a bit of snow. There is about 1" in my yard. Just enough to make everyone drive like idiots.
