Snow day!
We're getting a pretty decent amount of snow here in Central Indiana, so I make sure to leave plenty early for work. Just live about 5 miles away and I left about 20 minutes earlier than normal. As I'm driving in, slipping and sliding around, the boss lady calls and says that the company is closed for the day. Doh! I'd called our severe weather hotline right before leaving the house, but I guess they made the decision in those 10 minutes. So now I get to sit around the house all day..
Just saw on the news about our company. They say that this is the first time that the company has closed in decades.Battlefield Admin(BF2 Rules) (BF2142 Rules)

Bah! I'm still at work. Been here 9 1/2 hours and who knows if I'm leaving anytime soon. There are some pilots that don't want to fly in this weather, and I can't leave until they decide one way or the other.
Good thing I filled my cats water and food dishes before I left the house last night. Poor guy's pro'lly worried about me! Or he's just staring out the window at the squirrels outside, thumping his tail occasionally.

Cool!
I was just up in Indiana over the weekend (at Purdue for a conference) and the snow was wonderful for a girl from Texas! It helped a lot that it was a clear day with the snow still on the ground and that Purdue is such a beautiful campus. Three days was just enough of the stuff. I couldn't imagine how you guys live with 3+ months of it, though.

we got about 8"s here in Columbus and its still going. For me 8"s is not alot of snow but around here these people have no idea how do drive in rain. Gonna be along couple days
that sounds like a good idea trooper.

University of Illinois canceled classes and started closing facilities around 9am today. I made it to work, don't understand what all the fuss is about. When I was a student here, we had worse days than this. Only day classes were ever canceled was when the power plant sorta blew up.
Needless to say, I'm catching up on a lot of work at least.

i left for work this morning(5 am) and i just got home at 7:15 pm....
if you havent guessed i run snowplow in the winter
its my job among others i work for my local Township
hey benifits are fantastic and the money aint bad either
this is the one time of the year i hate anymore,, lol after you have to work in the stuff and see ediots on the road that should be driving on dry pavement you would start to disslike winter also
but hey anyway gona eat now and ill prolly catch ya guys tomarro,,,, just got a call from the boss saying be at work at 3 am grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i hate my job

hmm.. Sounds.. unpleasant... well, im kinda in the middle ont he snow day today.. im happy I am off school but I am unhappy that I'll need to coem back one more day in the summer.
Hmm.. is Uof I the place in dekalb?
