Re: Rome the HBO Series.
wow... too bad. they seem to keep biting off more than they can chew with these series. Deadwood was incredible, but that cost too much as well... Guess HBO needs to charge more for their subscription packages.

Re: Rome the HBO Series.
Great show. It ranks right up there with Band of Brothers and even better than Sopranos. Too bad they ran out of money. I knew it was coming to an end when they wouldn’t show the large battle scenes.
Toward the end they were really rushing to finish the series and it showed.
The thing that really threw me was this…

Like we wouldn't notice this wasn't the same guy. How about a heads up HBO?Last edited by Sumluv59; 03-30-2007 at 03:51 PM.

Re: Rome the HBO Series.
Word is that by canceling the series HBO plans to make two movies out of the ashes of the Rome series using the same cast. I read it during an interview with somebody at HBO.

Re: Rome the HBO Series.
Rome was great. So was Carnivale. So was Deadwood. All three of them cancelled before their time. Eventually, HBO will offer nothing to differentiate itself from the rest of cable TV, and it will lose my subscription.
