Re: desktop tower defense

I haven't beaten Icky's score and have tried 3 different methods. Started with building a strong center which nets me a low score comparitively. Went to playing goalie by starting building around the exits thinking limited funding meant that anyway to slow them down was the way to go. I have since reversed that to putting my goalie right where they enter driving them to 1 point in order to create my maze. I have had my best luck with my latest method.

I can make it to level 6 but once those things started spawning there seems to be no chance

I've gotten to 6, but I can't imagine any way to beat 6.

I got to 79, but the guys from 78 and maybe 77 were still in my maze when it all ended.

Re: desktop tower defense

Anyone tried the 10,000k 'fun' challenge yet? It's a good way to sandbox ideas for maze designs...

plus it's quite satisfying to hit "send next level" 30 times and watch your maze totally decimate everything

Nice! I sense some (more) wasted time in my future.

Re: desktop tower defense

I don't know about you guys, but I'm digging the 4K set maze. I was hoping for something exactly like this, and it came to pass.

Set up something, push go, and grab a snack. See what level you made it to when you return.

Ah, that's a different game. It would be cool if they enforced playing it that way. But in reality, you make your maze and you push "Send next" about 30 times straight. Then you have to slow down or you lose.

I do like the new challenge ideas though.

With the 3K and 4K challenges, you can push send next, but you probably don't wanna. The money gets burned through faster than you might think.

?
I played both of these challenges several times and did essentially what I said. The upgraded towers at the start tear through everything. You can quickly send next unless you haven't spent your money wisely.
