Re: Spider_Man 3

Yeah, working security in a theater I hear a lot of comments and most of them included, "The second one's still better", or something to that effect. I'm not a huge fan so I thought it was ok, but nothing that was great. I think there was too much emotion for most guys out there.

Yeah, we prefer shotguns and their victims.

Wha? They killed off Venom in the same movie that they introduced him in?

And Venom isn't a villain, he's a vigilante. At least in the books he is...

He dissapeared inside of a ball of fire, and you saw a little bit of residue shrivel up. Whether that means he's dead or not, Dunno. But I hope not.

Overall, I diddn't think the movie was bad, but definately not outstanding. I do think the Actors/Actresses are getting to be beyond the age needed for these roles.

And naturally, Bruce Campbell's comedic relief was great.

It was alright, but as said in the first posts the Bruce Campbell cameo was good

Oui!
I may be insensitive for saying so, but when MJ broke up with Peter Parker on the bridge and he started to blubber, I wanted to laugh out loud so hard, it nearly killed me. Venom looked cool though, had some cool action scenes too... IMO, the movie wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Not the kind of movie I'll watch again anyways.

He lives long enough for all of one action scene, and prior to it you see him terrorizing firemen and swat men on a news camera. I don't know if he did that in comics, but it definately didn't come off as vigilantism.

Re: Spider_Man 3

I liked it well enough. I liked the action scenes, and the whole "peter parker acting REALLLLLLLLLY stupid while under the black-ooze influence" was killer funny.

It wasn't a masterpiece, but it was good.

For the heart-pounding epic drama, though, go watch the 2nd movie.

The last showing of the night on Friday (ending at 1:20 am on Saturday) brought a lot of clapping... first group of the night that clapped.

Wow, tough crowd. My wife and I both liked it, but there was definitely room for improvement.

Re: Spider_Man 3

Wasn't my favorite at all. Worst of the 3 for me. The action sequences felt to forced, and the whole MJ in a funk throughout the whole movie pissed me off more than anything.

Good movie overall by itself, but 1 and 2 were better in my book.

Black ooze? Does the movie explain **minor spoiler alert?**that the black suit is actually an alien symbiote from outer space?

Re: Spider_Man 3

I am on the middle of the fence about the movie in general,
but am I going to be the only one who complains about the FRIGGING DANCE NUMBER(S)?

I thought the movie was pretty good up until that point and the pace was destroyed by that little 15 minute section of the film.

The whole time I was thinking, "What the hell is Raimi THINKING?" I thought I was watching Spiderman, not Grease.
