If you like hot and humid (humidity in the 80s and above) come to Mobile, Al in the summer. An AC unit here is a must, like a heater in northern states in the winter.

All I can think about is Acreo saying "it's Chicago, it's dry heat..." I'm from Michigan (very humid), I lived in Chicago for many years, and now live in New York City (an environmental cake walk.)
Acreo: Chicago is only beat by Houston/New Orleans for the miserable humidity of its summers. If you are comfortable there, you are golden. IMO no environment in the US is more uncomfortable year round: the stifling summers, the deadly cold winters. No other city, in fact, has so many environmentally induced deaths in either season. And I might be exaggerating. But not really. And I miss it still. I'm trying desparetly to get back before the end of this summer... |
