Re: Gladiator Thingy
Sorry...lost track of this thread for a while...
Regarding the link: It's basically a "Refer a friend" sort of thing. You get a random number of gold...between 1-10 for each person that clicks on it. Why did I use it instead of the top-level domain? Two reasons: First, I can keep track of which people from here sign up for Server 3 because if they use that link, I get to see the list of usernames that were created. This is handy from the Guild perspective. Right now, the Guild system does absolutely nothing beneficial, yet costs exhorbitant amounts of money to upgrade (the more cash you plop into it, the more members you can have). The member cap is 9 people right now...we've worked our way up to 6 and need a couple thousand gold to unlock it to 9...so we have to be picky to ensure that the applicant is really a TG member. Keeping track of people who signed up using my original link I posted helps filter out the non-TG people because I usually recognize the usernames. Second: I want to support this outfit. By showing them that their viral marketing is working, I can let them know that word-of-mouth is getting around that they're alive. Whether or not my character gets a pathetically small amount of gold or not...meh. Most items I'm buying are thousands of gold, so it ain't really doing much for me.

Re: Gladiator Thingy
If you signed up a gladiator username but have not been accepted to the guild, PM me or Zoraster here on TG with your gladiator username...this way we'll know who to let in, and who to reject.
