Re: Transformers (spoiler warning)

I liked how, you started watching, and I don't think it was even 10mins before you see the first transformer. Action started fast. Thats how all action movies need to start. None of this build up + anticipation crap anymore. I give it a 8/10. I'll be buying this DVD for sure, maybe two.

To be honest I didnt like what Michael Bay did with the film mainly because no theme song! come on, not evena remix there was so many places they could throw it in.

Re: Transformers (spoiler warning)

OMG!....are you kidding me. By far the best CGI movie i have seen. Im totally just nerded over what i just saw. First time i heard optimus prime's voice i got chills. Really makes me pissed my mom sold all my transformer toys when i was younger, looks like i need to make a walmart run.

And what do you mean no story line or plot, its decades old. Id even venture to say to only real storyline, decepticons Vs autobots.

Are you kidding me?! She was the best part of the movie!!! I totally fell in love with her. Yes, the movie could've been yelling "She's Hot" over and over again, but that's what I loved! A hot girl in a mid-riff bending over the hood of an old Camaro with a massive engine. Does it really get any better than that?

Do you really have to ask that question? Um... no, you do not. And, no.

I was really expecting a more epic final battle between optimus prime and megatron at the end. It was also lame how prime had this sort of sadomasochist desire to kill himself with the cube, when all he had to do was shove it into megatron's chest like that kid did. It was like "NO NO, don't put that burning cigarette on my skin! I can't take the p... OH YEAH THAT FEELS GOOD!" sort of deal going on.
If it was even remotely possible to get the cube into megatron's chest without him taking it and them failing the whole reason the movie started I'm sure they would have gone for it. Fact is they wouldn't risk it. Optimus was going to sacrifice himself instead of risking it into megatron's hands. The kid got lucky and was in the right spot at the right time. They didn't convey with lots of detail but I understood it.

LoL,actually I have to say Optimus always had a sadomasochist attitude about him.Watch the Beastwars series or the other Transformers animated movie. He just loves to die and then come back.

Your confusing it with honor. If you ever read up about japanese culture this would make a lot more sense. Not that I care that much but it's a bit demeaning to the whole series to call it sadomasochistic

Re: Transformers (spoiler warning)

I liked how they reused the quote for the Optimus vs. Megatron battle from the animated movie...."One shall stand...."

Search the nerd lairs of the universe, there is many a debate about whether the original series Prime was more John Wayne or more Ronald Reagan.
