Question Please recommend a digital camera - $150 - $300

I'm looking to purchase a digital camera for some casual photography, photos of family, friends, goofing around, etc. Ideally, I'd like something which allows you to print out the photos for keeping (not sure if that is a feature of most cameras).

Any one have a solid recommendation?

I really like Olympus for point and shoot digital cameras. If you don't need prints that are larger than 8x10, then the cheap 7 megapixel cameras will do you just fine.

Re: Please recommend a digital camera - $150 - $300

I just bought a Sony DSC-T100 for my fiance as a b-day present, but that is more in the $400 range. It is a great little camera though, and you can probably find it marked down in the $350-$375 range on newegg or tigerdirect.

I'd advise staying away from Canon. We've owned two point-and-shoot cameras from them, and both had reliability problems.

I have a Nikon D50 and love it. It is really quick to focus which is good for those candid shots. Try this link to read about different brands.

Thanks. I just bought an Olympus 230 for $200. Nice little camera, easy to use and is perfect for my needs.
