I'd skip shader 2 support. Out with the old, in with the new. Shader2 was so 1 year ago.

I spent many many fun hours playing desert combat so I'm going to check out this beta

I seem to remember the story was that trauma studios made desert combat and dice bought trauma for $100,000 then asset stripped it and closed it down. I got the impression at the time that dice didnt want mega successful mods but wanted people to buy expansion packs, mods are not a revenue steeam for dice. Then the x trauma guys started Kaos Studios to create a full on game to challenge dice on their on turf, good on you guys.

Keys are not transferable and you could BOTH be banned from beta. Not to mention not being considered for other betas in the future.

Anyway, we should have more keys out soon. Will be releasing more periodically through the closed beta period.

Played the beta last night which was in a city and it was pretty good, has potential. There is a squad structure (but not spawning on squad leader as far as I can tell) and I imagine there will be team VOIP and squad VOIP.
