Anyone know how to change a CD Key without re-installing?

I was going to just try and change the CD Key instead of having to go thru the hassle of uninstalling the Steam version I got and re-installing a new version from a hard copy.

Anyone know of a way to do this by chance?

This would save me having to redo my key binds as well as map downloads etc..

Not sure, but I would recommend uninstalling and doing a fresh install off of DVD.

You won't have to download the maps again, just backup your custom_levels folder before you do the uninstall.

That does make sense..the Steam version puts everything in a very bizzare location..took me 10 minutes to find where it actually installed to on my machine.

I got my "Real" copy now here with me..the Best Buy close to my work had 4 copies..also picked up FarCry2 as well..but am having 2nd thoughts..I think I may return it and just wait for CoD:WaW to come out..
