That entire mayhem match was organized. At least null practiced and went over tactics for it. At the end of Wilderness I stayed put because there wasn't anything I could do except lie on my stomach unless I wanted to run around like I was playing BF. GR TvT was never my cup of tea. |

Notice that I didn't say "dumb it down for a console"-take that Red Storm! Quote:

Could be good. The SP demo was really nice...I like the way the targeting feels a little off, it seems more realistic. The MP was no different from any other online shooter....but it's Monolith, so they may have something great up their sleeve for the final. Quote:
Besides, Quake 3 is getting a bit long in the tooth. It needs an update. And I have political reasons for buying it as well: as the head of Tactical OS, I cannot pass on any game by a publisher/developer that ports their game to linux. I don't care if it's a deathmatch. They get my $50 and a email saying why they got it. |

Re: So who is ready for GRAW?
I can't think of any examples of Monlith putting in something amazing in a final version of a game.
In fact, I can't even think of any Monolith games. Care to name some? |

No One Lives Forever 1 & 2 (if you haven't played them....you REALLY missed out). Shogo Tron 2.0 (see NOLF) Blood Aliens v. Predator 2. (Again, see NOLF) But The Matrix Online works too. |

Re: So who is ready for GRAW?
I'll be interested in seeing what they do with GRAW. I don't feel like picking it up until I can be pretty sure that it isn't a JO type game where you use fast pace instead of tactics.

Re: So who is ready for GRAW?
I'll be waiting for reviews. The orginal GR I played tourneys with a top ranked team for over a year.
Also its hard to say if this is still a gamestyle I will enjoy. Back then I was in college and having to wait upto 30 minutes after a death to play again wasn't a big deal as now I may only have 30 minutes to play total. I would definately agree that no respawns makes for a VERY different game which can be stressful and incredibly rewarding.

Re: So who is ready for GRAW?
They have a new video out now which shows some sweet tactical overhead map order-giving stuff, plus, quite possibly some cool audio clips played when giving orders, receiving, acknowledging, engaging, etc.
That part looks like it might put the game in line with what we want, rather than a dumb console game.

Re: So who is ready for GRAW?
Console ports sometimes do or do not work for PC games. Hopefully they change somethings rather than being the same game from the 360. Most of the videos are from the 360 perspective. That's what the game is supposed to be giving orders, recieving orders, etc. on all versions.
