Not necessarily so. If it was just up to TG, TG could do it with any game. There have been rumors of only a 4-man coop, which would seriously hamper our style (and our capability to host many players). In addition, serious adjustments towards a more "arcady" movement and fire (ie - reductions in the loss to accuracy when moving, serious reductions in the settling of the rets), will render many of the "real-life" tactics used by TG worthless. The biggest accomplishment in GR 1 was it's ability to place many of the most crucial elements of gameplay on the shoulders of the player. It was the first game, for me, where "stealth" was not just a rating that was calculated by the game, but actually dependent on whether your opponent could see you, and the first game in which you could actually use good positioning to render yourself nearly invisible. By placing the onus of movement, shape and color on the player - and the player's ability to see - the game gained infinite depth, something that can not be accomplished through hard-coded systems. Being purely an urban environment, if GRAW is not built for this same player-skill set, it will simply not function the same for me. These are the three overwhelming concerns I have, in regards to GRAW's applicability to TG.

If GRAW doesn't work out for TG, I'll still be playing the original GR.
