Re: Demo now...

Exactly, and anyone with a girlie video card like mine (9600XT), please break the news to me gently.

I posted this is another thread, but anyone have a decent AGP card sitting around gathering dust since they've upgraded to PCI-e that they want to part with cheap?

Re: Demo now...

Well my computer failed this test miserably. The whole screen is black and my FPS is about 5. So much for being excited.

Re: Demo now...

I tried out the demo. While walking around it wasn't what I would call smooth, but it was acceptable. However as soon as the fighting started, it felt like I was in slooooow motion. I fire the carbine on single shot mode like three times in "rapid" succession and I would see my gun climb slowly from recoil. Enemy targets were falling over in slow but nice looking animations. I've turned the graphics down as low as it goes, I think its the ageia physics that's slowing things up, but who knows.

Unless they come out and say we made a mistake here's the real demo that performs better, I won't be buying this till after I upgrade my machine later this year. Too bad, I was looking forward to this game.

My specs:
AMD 64 3200+
1 gig ram
6600GT

I don't know how to show fps, but it felt slow and choppy even walking around. Damn, this game makes my computer cry.
