Re: Expectations of GRAW players at TG.
43 minutes is murder. My first couple games was like that. "Trooper watch.....enemy at 4oclock..trooper down." But when you get some great leaders and tacticions on the server its the best HOUR of gaming ever.

That's the key. Once you learn how to move with your team, cover your teammates, and communicate efficiently, GR becomes a much better game. Playing as an "individual" rather than a part of your fire team will get you dead VERY quickly.
You need to play this game as though your human life counted on your teammates. Just because you see a target doesn't mean you should fire on that target, careful assessment of the area is key before engaging ANY targets at all.
GR in TG land is a very "on-the-edge-of-your-seat" type of game. Dying isn't an option. I can't say as I have EVER played a game that gets my adrenaline pumping in the same way as GR.

Playing the beta yesterday we had a team that was awesome. Even though we were only able to communicate through in game chat and such we lasted well over 45 minutes before we were over run. We actually passed up 3 easy kills so as not to alert the other side to our presents in the area.

Are you guys talking co-op, TDM, Dom, Hamburger Hill, or something else entirely?

Ghost Recon has a special place here at Tactical Gamer and we have expections that FAR exceed many other games.
- ALL players are expected to read and abide by the SOPs posted in the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter SOP forum.
- This is *NOT* a rush-to-fight game at Tactical Gamer.
- Expect slow and methodical gameplay.
- Expect the game to be very difficult. And DON'T expect there to be respawns.
- Keep comms clear and concise.
If you find yourself deserting your team, ignoring orders, and trying to treat this game like some fast-paced FPS, you should expect to see yourself removed from the game and from TeamSpeak.
When it comes to Ghost Recon, we couldn't be MORE serious about these rules and the application of the philosophy behind Tactical Gamer. Just because you can grab a sniper rifle and rush to the front-lines in another game doesn't mean it's going to be even REMOTELY tolerated in GRAW.
Thanks for your time.

These are the exact reasons I joined TG....after playing in your server for about an hour or so today. FINALLY, a place where I can have some teamplay in a game that gets my adrenaline gushing and my nerves fraying like paintball played in real life does. I'm sticking around .

Re: Expectations of GRAW players at TG.
I just bought GRAW but you all know GR is what brought me to TG to begin with. I love this play style and am all for it. Now if I can just get past my installation errors and get in game

Re: Expectations of GRAW players at TG.
I have to agree with Sleepdoc, though I do not condone thread necromancy.
While I certainly enjoy some of the faster paced FPS titles, my hope is that GRAW2 will be treated in the same manner as its predecessors.

Re: Expectations of GRAW players at TG.
Yup. The same philosophy applies to GRAW2 as it did GRAW and GR.
