Re: Sluggish Mouse or laggy game play

Or mabey if your crosshair lagged behind instead of being fixed. If you moved fast to the right, your FOV would instantly move, but the crosshair would come flying across the left to the center.

Mateo, I think they might have somehow disabled the fraps features or something? I captured a video, but all I got was the audio and a messed up screen.

Mateo certainly captured some videos (I watched em) so it might be something on your machine.

That way you could look around like you do in real life but not aim like a robot.
This is exactly how it was done in the original Ghost Recon. I'll bet this is one of those things that will be easily modded. In the original GR you could mod how much your accuracy was reduced for all different kinds of movement and stances.

Re: Sluggish Mouse or laggy game play

I changed some settings like setting sound to low and uncheck EAX, fittled with some mouse sensitivity settings and everything smoothed out for me.

or..........maybe it was the ATI X850 XT that did it

None the less, I think the final version will smoothe out for a lot of people...this is a demo.

Re: Sluggish Mouse or laggy game play

Yeah whatever. Even remembering someone's name starts with "M" is an achievment for me.

I'll try disabling EAX or whatever but I think my game is running pretty smooth; it's just the way they handle mouse movements that I'm not completely in love with.

Thumbs up Re: Sluggish Mouse or laggy game play

Hey all, I just thought of something that might help if you have an Nvidia card. Download NVTweak, install it, and check your control panel. If you enable the advanced features in the menu, you should see an option for additional direct3d settings. In the "max frames to render ahead box, try to lower it from 3 to 2, and then even lower if you feel it is necessary. This is a tweak that many people used for Oblivion, but I tried it, and it seemed to help with the mouse lag a bit. It should not affect your performance too much, but it can help some people out with mouse lag. For further information about the technical aspects of the tweak, check out This Section of the Oblivion Guide at TweakGuides.com.
